This is the reason why the calories get accumulated in the form of fat in your body. If you are able to burn the calories or cut down the calories by smartly choosing food items, you will lose weight. There are few basic food items that are good for you if you want to lose weight.
Protein- Everyone needs protein, no matter whether he is young or old, man or woman. Non-vegetarians get lots of protein through meat, eggs, chicken and fish. Beef is a great source of protein but if you want to lose weight, you need to take it in moderate quantity. Vegetarians have to rely on legumes, beans, soya products and milk for protein intake. In any case, you should avoid the intake of fatty and creamy products. You can take processed and toned milk for better results.
Fiber-Fiber is an essential part of your meal plan for weight loss. You can even increase the intake of fiber because it helps in proper bowel movement and prevents constipation, gastroenteritis and other digestive problems that are big hindrance in the process of losing weight. You can eat vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, celery, cage and many leafy vegetables as much as you can without they are cooked in either low or no oil. You can keep on interchanging the food items so that you do not get bored with the same meal every day.
Fruits- Fruits are rich source of vitamins, minerals and fiber and can be taken anytime.
Since you have cut short the quantity of your food intake, you may feel like having some mid-meal snacks simply to keep those food craving cells satisfied. This is also very important because only then you will be able to go long way and achieve your target. You can try these:
Salads – make salads with low calorie and raw food items like cucumber, tomato, beetroot, cabbage, carrot, capsicum or lettuce. However if you want something as filling, you can use them between sandwiches. Avoid butter and instead use low fat ketchup.
