So, its winter time again and you will certainly feel the effect of it on your hair and skin. Whether you have curly , kinky or coily hair, you need to pay attention and keep them properly during the winter season. There are several ways to do it and you will appear better too.

You need to follow different tips or steps to ensure that your hair remains good at all times. They are stated below.

1. Regular Moisturizing

It is advisable to follow a regular moisturizing in the night. As soon as the hair is semi-dry, then you can cover it with a scarf. A home-made moisturizer will be perfect for you and your hair will feel moist and soft next day respectively.

2. Deep Conditioning

Since moisturizing is recommended on a daily basis, you need to follow it up with deep conditioning as well. During the winter season, deep conditioning has to be done to ensure moisture retention. Hot oil treatments can also be done and the best Deep Conditioner which can be used is Curls Ecstasy respectively.

3. Sealing with Heavy Creams

A home-made Shea Butter cream should be used to seal hair ends during winter. Shea butter cream is made of coconut oil, aloe juice, castor oil and a few preservatives. Application of shea butter results in strong hair with no bushy or brittle ends at all. Another cream which can be used is Alma and Olive Heavy Cream which is mostly available in the market.

4. Scalp Nourishing Serum

Not only hair, the scalp needs to be protected too. If you have a dry scalp, then scalp treatments need to be done which would keep fungus and bacteria away. In fact the health of the scalp can be restored to normal too. A good serum in this regard is Jane Carter's Scalp Nourishing Serum for sure.

5. No Frequent Washing

It will be better if the hair is washed once during a week. 'Curlicious Curls Cleansing Cream' or oil having an acid PH range can be used to wash the hair. A weekly hair wash closes the cuticles and help to reduce the dryness effect on the hair.

6. Hair Styles

Some women prefer double strand twist, buns, French rolls or braids during winter. But then, it has been seen that braids are much better as they help to retain moisture and prevent hair damage. Hats and scarves can be worn over to make you appear good.

7. Split Ends Trimming

The hair ends when they appear thin and are hanging, should be trimmed off immediately.

8. Braid Extensions

Braid extensions can be worn to protect hair in cold months. But you need to be gentle and avoid tight braids along the hair line. But the braids should not be worn for longer periods of time, as the hair can get damaged as well.

In the end, it can be said that it is not a daunting task to look after hair in winter. It is imperative to follow the tips to avoid hair damage and keep hair in good shape too.
